    A professional interpreter is often the missing link that takes an event or a negotiation to the next level. We provide interpreters all over Europe, chosen for the subject as much as the language pair, and briefed properly before they walk into the room.

    What is the difference between consecutive and simultaneous interpreting?
    In consecutive interpreting the speaker pauses and the interpreter renders what was said — right for meetings, negotiations and site visits. In simultaneous interpreting the interpreter works in real time, usually from a booth with headsets — right for conferences and anything with an audience. Simultaneous work needs two interpreters per language pair for anything over about an hour, because of how demanding it is.
    How far in advance should I book?
    As early as you can. For a common language pair a couple of weeks is usually comfortable; for rarer combinations, or during conference season, it can be considerably longer. If your date is tight, ask anyway — we will tell you straight away what is possible.
    Do you provide the equipment as well?
    For simultaneous interpreting we can arrange booths, headsets and technicians alongside the interpreters, or work with whatever your venue already has. Tell us the venue and we will confirm what is needed.
    Can the interpreting be done remotely?
    Yes. Remote interpreting by video or phone works well for meetings, hearings and shorter sessions, and removes travel costs entirely. For a full-day conference with an audience, on site is usually still the better experience.
    How is interpreting priced?
    Usually by half day or full day rather than by hour, plus travel and accommodation where the assignment is away from the interpreter's base. You get one fixed quote covering all of it before you commit.
    Will the interpreter understand our subject matter?
    That is what we select for. Send us the agenda, slides, or a glossary of your own terms in advance and the interpreter will prepare from them — it makes a substantial difference on the day, and it costs nothing.
